A day spent quilting is a good day, but a life spent quilting is a good life.

FEELING VERY ARTSY TODAY
I found this print in the very back of the closet. I know some would say put it back, but IT is speaking to me and I will probably have it done by the weekend. Maybe then I will have figured out a border. The pattern is called Urban Chic by Artichoke Collection.

LOOKING TOWARDS AUTUMN
Camping on the coast was far removed from the heat that greeted us on our return home. As a child summer was much anticipated, mainly as a break from school. As I matured, I fell in love with autumn. The colors, cooler weather are still my favorite memories. As a quilter the fall color palate is still my favorite and my largest collection of fabric.

JOY JOY JOY
I am reposting a previous post. The picture just disappeared! OH well. So as I was saying. This is an enlargement of a rubber stamp that is done by reverse machine applique. The words in the ribbon say "diva" as it was meant for my book club diva of the month banner. Instead of birthdays, which you might have to share.

THE SMALLEST TEMPLATE EVER
I found this in an old magazine, which is why I have a hard time throwing them out. It is pieced using a template that measured 3/4 Th in at the base. Sometimes you just need a little project. In previous posts you can see I like the block, in many different sizes. Try framing your work. It gives it another dimension. So did I find this while cleaning the sewing room? Of course not! There is enough time to clean when you're dead.

A LITTLE EXTRA FIND
I love the fabric and design of this top, but it finished long and some what skinny. I am contemplating my next move. Perhaps just side borders. We shall see, so back in the closet it goes. Enough cleaning for today. Good night.
OUT OF THE CLOSET
I need to clean the sewing room more often. This was buried under an avalanche of fabric. All that is left to do is the binding and someone could be wrapped in what can only be described as a collection of old prints. But very comforting old prints. Greens snowballed with orange and no repeats that I can see. So I guess I can cross charm quilt off my list. I have just started the cleaning, so who knows what I might find later in the day. I will keep you posted.
