SEE THROUGH LEAVES

This is one of those" what if "moments. Any thing but what I really should be doing. The whole piece does not photograph well but is kinda interesting.

WINTER WHITE

I have been known to try and machine quilt almost any fabric. This is an old damask table cloth with many permanent stains. There is enough to quilt a large pillow cover. It would have to be dry cleaned as my first sample did not do well in the washer. It's pretty but probably not useful. Oh well...

SUNSHINE

We have sunshine in So. California today. Yesterday was wet but oh my the rainbow was spectacular! This was adapted from an applique pattern I have. I have always admired the suns on Sunday Morning and have started collecting pictures, hoping to make a quilt someday. Hope you are warm where ever you are. If not ...grab a quilt!

Hey there to my newest followers. Thanks for checking me out. Another quilted card that any quilter friend would love. I use paper backed silk and run it through the printer for the sayings. It keeps that see through look I like. It is then also fused to the card.

Who said you can't machine quilt a card? Minus the batting of course. The design is fused which gives the card extra body. Try it you'll like it!

BUSY WORK

Sometimes I work through things by just working. The machine quilting retreat is around the corner so I have been warming up. I have been remiss with my 15 min per day quilting and it shows. So.....BACK TO IT GIRL !

HEARTACHE

My dear friend Dolores died this past week after a year and a half fight with uterine cancer. She was a very talented card maker, voracious reader, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. I could say so much more, but right now let me simply say... I will really miss her.
