LIFE WITHOUT TV

 \
I almost feel "illegal" saying this but we have decided to fore go televsion in our lives. No really. The cord has been cut.( dish discontinued). It started with a billing dispute and ended with that decision. At first I did panic, after all how would Law and Order, CSI, Criminal minds The Good wife and 60 Minutes survive without me? And that is just a partial listing.

So what have I done this last week? I have read 3 books and quilted 2 customer quilts, and wrote instructions for an upcoming class( a whole week ahead!)

This is one of the quilts I will give back on Wed. I used Sands of Time by Superior. It is a King Tut thread. I learned a long time ago how well tan goes with scrap quilts, especially in  traditional colors. I think I will try some new blocks and do some studio cleaning. And It is only Monday!

REAR WINDOW

Starting a new class project. The piecing is very straight forward.
Do you ever wonder what goes on behind those windows?

This project reminds me of the movie Rear Window.
The directions are excellent and easy to follow.

I always love the work from Blue Underground Studios. Everyone should buy this book.

FREE MOTION QUILT RETREAT

Not sure why all my pictures didnot make it, but Judy and Margarite had fun,
even while taking a break.

Learining how to quilt an appliqued leaf is part of the process.

Different patterns and quite effective.
We all had a great time.

FMQ RETREAT

Everyone who attends our retreats this year gets a handmade bag. For the FMQ retreat, it is all about the quilting.

While I cannot show all of them....

I thought you would be interested in a few.

They will also serve as teaching samples.

They were a great review and warm up for me.

And they are really fun.

Take time to make some fun this week.
