There are what I call daily lessons. New things to learn so that hopefully we will pass those lessons on or at least learn from them.
Today's lesson is on quilting the cathedral windows block or any block or quilt that has a fold as a design element.

Do you not top stitch the flaps? I used a similar technique by Annette Ornelas for a turtle quilt and she had me top stitch them down. Layed a bit flatter then:) Your quilting is beautiful! Yay for free motion domestic quilters. I'm right there with you:)
Love the quilting on this one. Can't wait to see the second one in a different colorway.
